Holiday Cottage Sleeping 5 in the Isle of Arran
Gille Ghagaich is unusually flexible for a cottage of its size, making it a particularly good choice for mixed groups, multi-generational families and friends who like a bit of their own space. The layout has been carefully thought through so you can adapt the sleeping arrangements to suit who is coming with you.
Upstairs: Twin or Super-King – You Choose
On the upper floor you will find a comfortable twin bedroom that can also be made up as a Super-King. If you prefer separate beds, it works perfectly as a classic twin or the beds can be linked to create a luxurious Super-King instead.
This flexibility is ideal for couples travelling with friends, adult siblings, or anyone who wants the option to change things around depending on who is sharing. The room also has its own ensuite shower and w.c., so you have a little suite of your own at the top of the house.
Upstairs Family Room: Three Singles
The second upstairs bedroom is a spacious family room with three single beds and its own ensuite bathroom and w.c. It works great for children who like to be together, teenagers who want their own territory, or a group of friends who are happy sharing a room but not a bed.
With both upstairs bedrooms being ensuite, there is no queuing for the bathroom in the morning, even with a full house.
Optional Downstairs Super-King for Extra Space
For even more flexibility, there is the option (by separate arrangement) to add a large downstairs Super-King bedroom. This generous room includes two sofas for quiet seating, with a shower and w.c. close by.
This extra space can make all the difference to how comfortably your group fits into the cottage. It is especially useful for grandparents who prefer to be on the ground floor, parents of a new baby who want a bit of peace, or friends who would simply like a more private retreat away from the hub of the house.
Perfect for Different Groups
Together, these options mean Gille Ghagaich can be tailored to many different combinations of guests. A couple and children, two couples and a friend, grandparents and extended family, or a small group of walkers or golfers who prefer separate beds – all can be accommodated for without feeling squeezed in.
Whether you keep things simple with the standard layout (sleeping five) or add the downstairs Super-King for extra comfort and privacy, the cottage’s flexible sleeping arrangements make it easy to plan a stay that suits everyone.
