Our Cottage

On the ground floor is the very well equipped kitchen/breakfast room with fridge/freezer, oven and hob with extractor fan, microwave oven, dishwasher and clothes washing machine. The kitchen table is perfect for 4/5 guests.

The living room has a lovely glass fronted woodburner (logs available) with a three seater sofa and two arm chairs. There is freeview television with DVD, and wifi. The downstairs shower/w.c is nearby.

The gardens at Gille Ghagaich are a real highlight of a stay here. Guests have their own private grassy area just beside the cottage, with a table and chairs where you can sit out with a book or a glass of wine and simply enjoy the peace. Beyond this, you are welcome to wander into the extensive “hill” garden, where a burn (stream) winds its way through banks of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias, creating a wonderfully tranquil, almost secret-garden feel.

We are also creating a paved outdoor seating area with lighting next to the cottage, giving you a sheltered spot to linger outside as the light fades. Whether you are watching the changing skies, listening to the burn after a day on the hills, or letting children explore under supervision, the outside space here is very much part of the holiday – somewhere to slow down and soak up the west coast atmosphere.
